What is Digital Security?
Digital Security is self-protection--how do we protect ourselves and our information online? Criminals exist in cyberspace just as they exist in our cities so it is important to know how to keep your information safe from being stolen online.
Imagine this--you receive an e-mail telling you that you've won a FREE iPAD! All you have to do is fill out a form including your name, address, phone number, etc. What do you do? Fill it out and wait for your new iPad to arrive? Research where the e-mail came from before you complete the form? Immediately delete it? Scammers will try just about anything to steal your identity so you have to be smart and keep your information secure!
Other issues that can be traumatizing for teens is sexual predators, cyberstalkers and cyberbullies.
